Domestic Leader in Coal Preparation Plant Design, Coal Transporting

and Blending System Design and EPC

       Zhaojiazhai Coal Preparation Plant of Zhengzhou Coal Industry (Group) Co.,Ltd, the first coal preparation plant in Zhengzhou mine, came into being based on the design and EPC undertaken by our institute. The project helped not only to end its decades-long struggle against extreme difficulty in coal preparation and incapability of coal washing, but also to put an end to its sales history that the coal from Zhengzhou mine could only serve as thermal coal. Other examples of projects undertaken by our institute include Hongshiwan Coal Preparation Plant of Shenhua Ningxia Coal Industry Group, Coal Transporting and Blending System for Coal-to-Olefins Project of Shenhua (Baotou) Charcoal Chemical Industry Co., Ltd, Coal Transporting and Blending System for Coal-based Olefins Project of Shenhua Ningxia Coal Industry Group, Ground Storage and Transportation System for Manglai Strip Mine of China Railway Resource Group Co.,Ltd, Ground Transporting and Blending System for No.1 Strip Mine Projects (Phase II) of Shenhua Beidian Shengli Energy Co.,Ltd, Kai-Xiao Coal Transportation System for Yunnan Coal Chemical Industry Group Co.,Ltd, Coal Preparation System for Yunnan Xianfeng Coal Industry Co.,Ltd, and the success of design and EPC for these projects has laid a solid foundation for our domestic leadership.

Domestic Leader in Design Technology of High Output and High

Efficiency Mine Shaft and Coal Preparation Plant

       A group of high output and high efficiency mine shafts and coal preparation plants designed by our institute, as Shenhua Bu'ertai mine shaft and coal preparation plant (mine shaft: 20 mt/a ; coal preparation plant: 31 mt/a ), Zaoquan mine shaft and coal preparation plant (10 mt/a ) of Shenhua Ningxia Coal Industry Co., Ltd., Xinzheng Zhaojiazhai mine shaft and coal preparation plant ( 3 mt/a , cooking coal preparation plant) of Zhengzhou Coal Industry (Group) and Changhangou mine shaft and coal preparation plant ( 10 mt/a ) of Shenhua Shendong Coal Group, have been constructed one after the other or put into service. This established the foundation for our institute for leading at home in the design technology field of high output and high efficiency mine shaft and coal preparation plant.

Domestic Leader in Mine Shaft Cooling Research and Design

      Our institute started the study on mine shaft cooling in the early 1960s. We take an advanced place in theoretical investigation of mine shaft thermal hazard control, underground forecast of weather conditions, and a leading place in research & development of thermal hazard control equipment. All the specifications and introductions related to the mine shaft thermal hazard control are mainly compiled by our institute. The Research and Application of Heat-Electricity-Ethanol Cryogenic Cooling Technology by low-temperature refrigeration, completed by our institute, is awarded with the First Prize for Science and Technology Progress in Coal Industry of China. The achievements of it has reached an internationally advanced level, of which the cooling model and Cooling Distribution & TransportationTechnology has reached an internationally advanced level and has been successfully applied into the Pingdingshan Coal Mining Group.

Domestic Leader in Engineering Technology of Long-distance

Pipeline Coal Transportation

      In the early 1980s, the development and research on technology of long-distance pipeline coal transportation has been started in our country. Our Institute has been appointed as the fixed unit for design and research. During the “Sixth Five-Year Plan” and “Seventh Five-Year Plan”, it was classified as Technical Key Tasks for the former State Planning Commission, Science and Technology Commission. During the “Ninth Five-Year Plan”, coal transportation pipeline was classified as Strategic Development Goals in our country. For more than 20 years, our institute has been the only design and research organization with special mechanism and technician engaging in the field of coal transportation pipeline for a long term in China. We have the most advanced laboratory for pipeline coal transportation and undertake all design and research tasks in relation to coal transportation pipeline projects in China.

Domestic Leader in Engineering Technology of Mine Water Disposal

and Comprehensive Utilization

        The mine water disposal and comprehensive utilization engineering of our Institute is at a leading level of our country. We have completed over 100 water treatment works, and developed six series of over 80 water treatment equipment, including NO2 disinfection unit, filter equipment, agent charging device, feed-water treatment equipment, sewage disposal equipment, sludge disposal equipment, chemical water treatment equipment, etc. High-salinity Mine Water Reutilization Project of Shicaocun Coal Mine has become a model Project of Shenhua Ningxia Coal Industry Co., Ltd. The Mine Water Reutilization Project of Hebi Coal Mine Group has been classified as the National Mine Water Reutilization Model Project. The originally designed Mutually Rinsing Filter Technology has reached the international advanced level according to the statement of domestic well-known experts from Chinese Coal Society Organizations.

Domestic Leader in the Auxiliary Project Design of Coal

Chemical Project and EPC

    A batch of EPC Projects (including the Coal Discharging and Storage Plant of Baotou Coal-to-Olefin Project of Shenhua Group, Coal Storage and Transportation Device of Shenhua Ningxia Coal-based Olefin Project, open-small type coal transportation system in Yunnan, etc., generally contracted by our institute, have been built up one after the other, which established the leading place of our institute in general contracting of Coal Liquefaction Auxiliary Project EPC. Our institute has reached a leading level in general contracting of coal storage and transportation EPC. Among those projects: Baotou Coal-to-Olefin Project under EPC Project of Coal Discharging and Storage Plant of Shenhua Group is the largest one around the world at present, and is also the first large-scale Coal-to-olefins Project approved by the National Development and Reform Commission at present, belonging to National Model Project.
